The Naxal menace is getting out of control of the Government, both Centre and State. Should the Army be involved in curbing the menace and bring the situation under control ?

Heaven & Hell

HEAVEN & HELL

Last night while sleeping I died...
or so it seemed,
Then I went to heaven
But only in my dream

Up there my Record Keeper met me
Standing at the Entry Gates,
He said, "I must check your record...
Please stand here and wait."

He turned and said "Your record
Is covered with terrible flaws,
On earth I see you rallied
For every losing cause."

I see that you drank rum,
smoked and killed too,
Fact is, you've done everything
A good person should never do.

We can't have people like you up here....
Throughout your life all you did was hear,
You carried out orders without pausing to think.
You never asked for instructions in ink..

Then he read the last of my record
And his eyes grew moist.
He took my hand gently and said,
"Come in.

'You stood in isolated places and shivered alone
You left your kith, kin, hearth and home
You come from an unresponsive, ungrateful nation
You were denied your rights by every Pay Commission'

He led me up to the Caretaker of Heaven ...
"Take him in and treat him well,
He has served in the Indian Military ...
He's already done his time in Hell. "

  1. A single soldier abandoned
Left to fight the war alone
    His whole squadron disbanded
    As he fights
The media at home paint him in a bad light
    The soldier never gives up
He tries with all his might
Betrayed, the chief takes all his weapons
    The soldier is left defenseless
But he presses on with just his left and rightfists
    Him against two armies
Because this soldier fights for his own side
Every day he wakes up another person in his memory who died
He is the only man on the battle line
The soldier takes every hit given
    It's a long war
    Occasionally he becomes down trodden
And he thinks it's no longer worth doin
    He stops
He stops dodgin bullets and and bombs
    He drops
And thinks of his final reward
    He looks up and rises
    He firmly plants his feet
Unscathed by the artillery whizzing past hiseyes
On his mind the reward of becoming one of the elite
    The soldier grins
    And charges into the fight
He will never quit until he not just the battle but the war wins
